Hearing Screenings

In partnership with the Boston University Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, BRCPS will launch a pilot program in fall of 2009 to provide a comprehensive hearing screening to students in grade PreK. Students who fail this hearing screening will be referred to an audiologist for further evaluation. In the Spring, Boston University students will re-screen those students requiring further evaluation to ensure their hearing needs have been treated. With this pilot program, Boston Renaissance will enhance the care provided to students beyond the required hearing screening provided by the school nursing team.
