WBRCPS VJs

WBRCPS is the school’s morning announcements station where students and teachers are informed via a LIVE streaming video broadcast about various events that are happening in our school. WBRCPS VJs are selected from the 6th grade after an application process which includes an interview and a spoken word test. The VJs are then taught oral and written communication skills. When they are ready for broadcasting, they follow a schedule in which they are on the air about every week and a half.

VJs visit local TV and radio stations to get a firsthand look at communication professionals. Finally, at the end of the year in celebration of their hard work, the VJs attend a dinner and a surprise fieldtrip. They also recieve an award of recognition at graduation.

A group of carefully selected TechSperts from the 5th and 6th grade make up the Technical crew behind the Show. These TechSperts set up, broadcast, and break down the VBRICK video equipment daily so that the WBRCPS VJs Morning Show is a 100% student run program!
